SOULS started back in 2013 when I went on my first mission trip to Guatemala to help build schools in rural villages with a non-profit organization called Hug it Forward. While in Guatemala, I fell in love with the culture and the incredible people and wanted to keep giving back. That's when I started my first company, Painting for a Difference. I would paint canvas shoes and donate part of my profits to Hug it Forward. After a couple trips to Guatemala I met incredibly talented artisans who made beautiful shoes out of recyclable materials.

After my trips to Guatemala I then had the idea to partner with these artisans to show the world how amazing their work is. I thought that maybe one day my vision could come to life and show the world that no matter where you come from in the world, we are all more alike than different. I currently partner with 3 shoe makers in Guatemala who hand crafts each shoe by hand. After production the shoes are then shipped to Boston to have hand painted artwork added to the shoes with strong, waterproof acrylic paint.
